My name is Noelle and I love to talk about pet food.
I have had the distinct pleasure of working in the pet food and supply industry for over a decade now.
It’s such a joyful industry.
If you’re a lover of pets, there’s nothing better than getting to spend your career talking about them.
It’s a wonderfully diverse field that doesn’t take itself too seriously. And It has an incredible network of independent, thriving brick & mortar retailers and brands. The commonality that links everyone in the pet community is a deep love of pets. And when you love pets, you generally love most animals. In fact, some of the best pioneering work around sustainability and care for the planet and its creatures is happening within the pet space. Passion aligns with compassion, aligns with creativity and joy, to create new products and ways of doing things to improve the lives of all.
To help spread the word about this work, I am launching the Bowlful Pet Post: a community newsletter sharing love for pets, people, and the planet. This newsletter will explore the areas and intersections of fresh feeding for pets, sustainable practices and social good.
I am a major advocate for next generation pet feeding; I’ve spent at least half of my career working with raw and fresh food. This includes frozen-type foods like raw and cooked, air dried, and other non-kibble types.
Kibble's got enough advocacy.
I am focusing instead on these alternatives because even small amounts can help shift the tide for pet health and vigor. It is my goal to help raise awareness for pet parents on not only these foods for pets, but also on companies and organizations doing amazing work in sustainability and social (and pet) responsibility.
As consumers and pet parents we have many choices to make. It’s a gift to be able to have such a wealth of options available to us. I’m here to equip and encourage you to make choices that also make the world a better place.
In this newsletter, I will be sharing about brands and products doing incredible things for the three P’s (pets, people, planet). With my background in pet, I’m also here to help answer any questions and provide resources for parents who are curious about these arenas. It’s hard to make a different choice if you don’t know what options are available to you. And it can be difficult to discern who is being sincere in their efforts. If there are any tools I can provide along the way, I am most happy to do so.
